I know here at Fandango we mainly focus on hair, but we also offer some waxing services (fyi). There is a lot of information out there on the pros and cons of waxing and the difference between the two. Here are two very helpful pages that sum up what you basically need to know when deciding which one is best for you to try.
Some keys points taken away from these two articles are:
- Threading causes less irritation to the skin since there are no hot chemicals applied to the skin directly. Basically, if you are concerned about breakouts, sensitive skin, or thin skin, threading is the “preferred” method to go with. (Keep in mind though, that threading still irritates the skin to a certain level)
- Threading is more precise
- Waxing does not require your actual participation like threading does
- Based on the level of pain tolerance, either one can feel more painful than the other.
In the end, it all depends on what you are looking for. If it’s a brow clean up, then perhaps threading might not be so necessary as it is more precise. However, if braking out is a concern, then waxing on the other hand might not be the best choice. You should try out both methods to see which one works best for your overall desired results and preference. Don’t forget that having a qualified person will reduce the risk of irritation and other skin concerns, since they have knowledge and experience in what they are doing.
Happy waxing and threading everyone! Keep them brows clean!
